As part of his IEP, they are doing an IQ test as well as testing him to see if he can be placed in advanced classes. The TEACCH center as well as the school is interested in knowing just how smart he is. They think he's brilliant, and yes, he…
My son is 12 and he has aspergers syndrome. My son's school has been very cooperative with any requests that I've made and have been very accomodating with my son. They love him!

I'm sorry, I can't find anything more for you. Let me know if any of them work out?
It's a bit difficult finding these sites. If the groups aren't for parents, they're for adults and have adult issues on them. Wee bit frustrating, but I enjoyed it. What is your son interested in? Is he in middle school?
There's wrongplanet.net, which I wouldn't recommend. From what I've heard, there's a lot of drama there. On Yahoo Groups, there's AS-and-Proud-of-it, Aspie_Teen_Friend_Finder, asperger_teens and CarolinasTeens (which seems like it is abandoned). I haven't gone through any of the sites I'm recommending, so I don't know if they have inappropriate content.
I found another- Aspieworld, can't remember if I put that one. I'll start searching the rest of the internet. I'm sorry I'm leaving so many comments, though.
On ning, there is aspieSocial, autism-I am a member of it, but it's mostly adults and very small, and ASS Asperger Social Support. I know Autism may not be kid friendly, there's some questionable blog posts and such, and I don't know about the others.
