Hello, my name is Jim Putnam. I am the founder of
Blue Lightning Media. We are the
designers & developers of AutismSpotlight.com.
As a Dad of Autism, I would like to give a special and sincere
thanks with all of my heart, to ALL therapists, clinics,
organizations and Autism advocates for their love, and increasing
support in helping these children receive a Life of Happiness,
Success and Independence!
My son Drew was diagnosed with Autism at 2 ½ years old. Like most
parents, we were overwhelmed with the different options and
therapies available. After extensive research, mixed with trial and
error, we introduced Drew to ABA Therapy. We have had Drew in ABA
Therapy for the past two years now. ABA has helped Drew in all
aspects of his daily life, from learning to verbally communicate to
trying new foods.
The hardest thing for my wife and me was continuing and
re-enforcing the learning structure that Drew was receiving during
the day. Putting technology to the test, I had my team of web
developers create AutismSpotlight.com to help provide a cost
effective solution for all of us whose lives are touched by Autism.
We provide the ability to interact with our therapists and peers
after hours, receive updates and news, along with the ability to
watch training videos which help us continue to work with our
children at home, keeping consistent with their therapy.
I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to visit
AutismSpotlight.com every day, and contribute as much as you
possibly can. I believe that Autism is reversible. I believe we can
globally unify and raise awareness to previously unattainable
heights. I believe the government will notice, and I believe we
will make a difference. I welcome each and every member and welcome
all of your suggestions and ideas.
Please take a moment and see first hand all of the possibilities an
online social networking community can provide you with.
Putting the pieces TOGETHER, I remain,
Sincerely Yours,
Jim Putnam

TESTIMONIALS:
Hi Jim: The website had added a wonderful interactive communication
tool to our program. Our communication with parents has become much
more efficient as a result of the site. Also, I'm looking forward
to providing more detailed information about teaching various
skills, managing problem behaviors, and behavior analysis
discussion through the site. You and Matt have really help move our
program forward by creating and managing the new website.

This site has been wonderfully put together, and has not only been
a linking device in bringing awareness of our program and autism to
people everywhere, but has also provided a more formal means of
communication with all involved with the clinic. Through this site,
I have been able to send out new information to the parents and
therapists late at night and on weekends, when I am doing most of
my work. It has been a wonderful way to keep in touch with others
in the autism community whom I do not see as often and sometimes
lose touch with. This web site has also helped to promote many
events going on, not just with the clinic, but in the autism
community in general. It is very easy to navigate, and easy to
learn. My favorite piece to the web site is the way that I am able
to get out information, and fast, but also get responses and input
from others. It is a great way to bounce ideas off of each other,
especially when posting something in a group format. It is also a
wonderful way for parents to informally have a chance to chat with
others who live with autism on a daily basis. This web site has
been a phenomenal addition to our clinic! Thanks, Jim!!!
